2017 Chicago Forum on Global Cities Workshop Reports

Drawing on the expertise of the 2017 Chicago Forum’s speakers, mayors, sponsors, and partners, the Council convened private, invitation-only workshops on complex policy issues confronting global cities today. Workshop participants shared best practices, identified solutions, and raised questions for further consideration on five pressing topics:
  • Can global cities have a foreign policy?
  • How is the future workplace being reshaped with advancements in technology?
  • How can cities maximize innovation and new data opportunities?
  • How can global cities best create a secure, safe, and thriving global community?
  • How can public-private partnerships be developed to most effectively meet future needs?
The discussions and outcomes are summarized in a series of brief reports that provide a basis for strengthening solutions in cities worldwide. Conversations will continue throughout the year and at the 2018 Chicago Forum on Global Cities.
Be a part of the conversation. Shape the future of cities.
