Annah Latané specializes in helping communities increase economic growth through agricultural market systems. She combines expertise in applied economic analyses, monitoring and evaluation, and technical communication with an understanding of the current factors affecting agricultural development throughout the world. Ms. Latané joined RTI in 2014 as an economist. She currently supports the USAID-funded Feed the Future Senegal Naatal Mbay (“flourishing agriculture”) program as a knowledge management specialist and project coordinator and is leading an RTI-funded research effort to transform project data into a big data-ready product. Previously, she led monitoring and evaluation efforts for the YieldWise Initiative, a Rockefeller Foundation effort to reduce post-harvest losses in Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania. She has also worked on projects involving air quality, watershed protection, renewable fuels, and other aspects of climate-smart agriculture.
