Dorri McWhorter is the CEO of YWCA Metropolitan Chicago. Through technical training programs for youth such as TechGYRLS, and 3D: Developing Digital Diversity programs designed for adult women, she has helped to transform the 140 year old social service agency to a 21st century social enterprise. YWCA has also recently launched two web-based services with its own e-commerce site, YShop.org, and the womenshealthexchange.org to provide health insurance and information to women and their families. McWhorter was included in the inaugural list of “The Blue Network”, comprised of the top 100 innovators in Chicago, by Chicago Tribune’s Blue Sky Innovation. She is a member of the Mayor's Commission on a Safer Chicago, and has served as a member of Mayor Emanuel’s second term transition team. McWhorter holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin‐Madison, and an MA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
