Alice Albright was appointed as the first CEO of the Global Partnership for Education's Secretariat in February 2013. The Global Partnership for Education comprises 60+ developing countries, 20+ donor countries, civil society organizations, teachers and the private sector. Its mission is to mobilize global and national efforts to achieve equitable, quality education and learning for all, through inclusive partnership, a focus on education systems, and increased financing. Prior to her role at GPE, Albright was the executive vice president & chief operating officer of the United States Export-Import Bank from 2009 to 2013, and chief financial and investment officer for the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations from 2001 to 2009.
