Lyric Thompson is the director of policy and advocacy, at the International Center for Research on Women. She brings years of experience in global gender and development issues and has advocated for gender-equitable policies at the United Nations, White House, State Department, Department of Defense, USAID and on Capitol Hill. Thompson serves as co-chair of the Girls Not Brides USA advocacy coalition working to end child marriage, on the steering committee of the Coalition to End Gender-Based Violence Globally, the board of the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area, and the Executive Committee of the Civil Society Working Group on Women, Peace and Security. In 2016, she was recognized by Professional Women in Advocacy for Excellence in a Campaign for Women Serving Women.
